Invermere:

Panorama Mountain Village:

  • Swimming, hiking and biking trails, arcade, junior tennis, mountain tours, heli-hiking, glacier tours, ATV tours, daily horse rides, rafting trips, hayrides, golf and campfire stories and children’s adventure camp.


Radium Hot Springs:

  • Aquacourt (hot and cool pools).
  • Radium Public Library.
  • Self guided tours of the Columbia River Wetlands.
  • Whitewater rafting with Kootenay River Runners.
  • Playland at Dry Gulch, south of Radium includes go-carts, paint ball, bumper boats, miniature town, space ball, mini golf and a wild carpet slide and McDonald’s Barn.
  • Tours of Slocan Forest Products’ Radium Division mill every second Thursday through July and August.
  • Kootenay National Park interpretive programs — details available at the Radium Visitor Information Centre.
  • Play Radium: organized activities every Tuesday to Thursday during the summer for 6 to 18-year-olds. Also, periodic Voyageur Canoe Trips on the Columbia River. Picnicking and playground at Radium Village Park.
  • Rolf Heer, the Radium chainsaw carver.
  • Golf clinics at the Springs Golf Course.


Edgewater (north):

  • Garden Market at Edgewater Legion every Saturday morning during the summer.
  • Edgewater Hilltop Par 3 golf.
  • Wetlands Interpretive Display at Spillimacheen.
  • Hiking in Bugaboos Provincial Park west of Brisco.


Windermere
:

  • Windermere Community Beach, including boat launch and picnicking.
  • Historic Stolen Church.
  • Creekside Gardens.
  • Canoeing, rafting, waterskiing, wakeboarding, fishing and swimming in Lake Windermere.

     

Fairmont Hot Springs:

  • Fairmont Hot Springs Resort: includes hot and cool pool, biking/hiking trails, golf clinics at Riverside Golf Course, games room, mini-golf, tennis and much more.
  • Diamond B Outfitting trail rides.
  • Columbia Rafting Adven-tures: Whitewater and family trips.
  • Trail riding and petting zoo.


Canal Flats:

  • Canal Flats Park: includes boat launch, beach, picnic areas. Columbia Lake is excellent for wind surfing.
  • Whiteswan Provincial Park and Top Of The World Provincial Park, with lakes, hot springs, camping and hiking.
  • Blue Lake Camp: trained camp counsellors and lots of activities. Hiking trails. Located beside Blue Lake and near Whitetail Lake, west of Canal Flats.
  • Whitetail Lake: fishing, camping.
  • Try your luck panning for gold in Findlay Creek.
