Edgewater British Columbia

Nine kilometres north of Radium Hot Springs lies the hamlet of Edgewater, where there is a gas station, general store/B.C. liquor outlet, wood mill, a lovingly restored community centre and Royal Canadian Legion. A little farther north is the fun nine-hole, par three Edgewater Hilltop Golf Course along Highway 95.

In summer Edgewater hosts the Edgewater Market, a place to find deals on items ranging from vegetables, to eggs, to arts and crafts. The market is held each Saturday morning, beginning at 10 a.m.

A feature attraction of the hamlet is its still operational flume, built in the 1930s by railway workers. The flume is still used today by area ranchers for irrigation purposes and by the Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department during its annual Duck Race.

Edgewater is one of the oldest communities in the valley. Originally established as a farming centre, today it is a quiet residential community.

Distance to Invermere: 18 minutes north
